PRODUCT CARE

The chain links are covered with a colour coating and the magnetic clasps & connectors contain necessary alloys in order to be able to function. This means that unfortunately the metal bands are not suitable for exposure to moisture.

Water, moisture, sweat, lotions/creams and oils can damage the finish over time. We recommend taking care not to scratch the surface of your band, avoid exposure to water/moisture and ensure that all lotions & perfumes are fully dried before putting on your band.

If you happen to accidentally get your band wet then please clean and dry with a cloth immediately to extend the life of your band.

Whilst 18K Gold Plated & 18K Rose Gold Plated bands are more water resistant than our regular colour coated metal bands, water exposure will dull the shine and speed up the natural wear of the finish over time.

It is recommended not to wear your band while swimming or showering to extend the life of your band.

With proper care and maintenance, your gold plating should last years.

Regular use, exposure to abrasive materials and water/chemicals/moisture will dull the shine or wear away the finish over time.

Ultimately all gold plated jewellery may need to be re-plated to restore its original finish and this can be done at a jeweller.

For daily wear, ensure you place your band on long after your other lotions/perfumes/cosmetics have dried on your skin, to limit the bands exposure to chemicals.

Consider storing your band separately from other jewellery (to avoid accidental scratches), limiting exposure to water/moisture including cosmetics/chemicals, and avoiding abrasive materials.

Remove this band before exercise and switch to one of our more gym friendly styles.

See our maintenance & cleaning guide in the section below for further information on maintenance & cleaning.

Note: applies to Palermo (SIlver), Kyoto (Silver) and Madrid (SIlver) Bracelets.

Yes, our stainless steel bands are our most durable metal band.

To maintain the pristine finish of your band, we still recommend:

  • Limiting water exposure to avoid the band becoming dull
  • Refraining from wearing during exercise (switch to a more active friendly band for your workout)
  • Cleaning with soft, lint-free cloth and avoiding abrasive materials
  • Limiting exposure to chemicals
  • Pop your watch band on last, after you have applied cosmetics/perfumes/lotions and have allowed them time to dry

Please refer to cleaning instructions in the section below on how to further care for your band.

MAINTENANCE & CLEANING

Note: Exposing metal bands to water/moisture may damage the finish or wear the finish over time. We strongly recommend regular maintenance of the band and avoiding exposure to situations where the band may come into contact with water/moisture/dirt/oils (i.e. swimming, gym, exercise etc)

Regular Maintenance:

Polish gently with a soft cloth, avoid exposure to water/moisture and refrain from scratching the surface of the band

Cleaning:
(done with caution and only when absolutely necessary)

  1. Turn off your Apple Watch. If charging, remove the Apple Watch from its charger.
  2. Remove bands from either side of your Apple Watch. Click here to see steps on how to do this.
  3. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently rub your watch band to remove dust and dirt from the surface on a regular basis.
  4. Use a soft, bristle brush to get in between the edges of your band particularly in between the links and the connector.
  5. Should you wish to do a more thorough cleaning, mix a few drops of all-natural dish soap with some warm water in a bowl. It’s best to use an all natural cleaning agent to maintain your band’s electroplating coat.
  6. Dampen the soft cloth and blot out any stubborn debris left. Alternatively, you may also use gentle wet wipes to clean your band at this point. Take note to only dampen the cloth and blot out dirt gently, do not let your band get soaked in water.
  7. Dry your watch band thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth. You may use a dryer at this stage to make sure no moisture is left between the links and pins in your watch band.
  8. Store your watch band in a cool, dry place. Take care not to expose your bands to humidity or direct sunlight as this may cause the plating to fade or tarnish excessively.

  5. Take your soft bristle brush and dampen it ever so lightly with the all-natural glass cleaner. Swirl it over the rhinestones and the metallic setting to give your crystal watch band an extra boost of shine.
  6. Lay the watch band on a piece of soft cotton cloth and dry thoroughly. Make sure no moisture is left after cleaning.
  7. Store your crystal watch bands in a cool, dry place. Take care not to expose your bands to humidity or direct sunlight as this may cause the plating and the stones to fade or tarnish excessively.

  2. Wipe the leather with either a soft brush or a dry cloth, to begin.
  3. If needed, dampen the non-abrasive and lint-free cloth in gentle soapy water. Make sure that the cloth is damp and not wet. Leather bands are not waterproof.
  4. Clean the strap more thoroughly with the soapy damp cloth, taking care not to rub off the leather with too much friction.
  5. After cleaning the strap, run the cloth under tap water to rinse it.
  6. Lightly wipe the leather band with the clean damp cloth.
  7. Air dry the leather band. Avoid exposure under direct sunlight or extreme heat.
  8. You may also choose to apply a leather conditioner on your Leather Apple Watch band. Take care to follow brand instructions.

It is always advised to avoid using your leather band during water activites and minimise exposure to lotions/creams and oils as these may cause permanent stains.
